Historic England are the public body that looks after England's historic environment. “We champion and protect historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.”
Working from their York office Paul Bryan, David Andrews and Jon Bedford are photographed taking delivery of their brand new FARO S150 Laser scanner.
Their new purchase will complement their existing surveying equipment and help provide visual and metrically accurate base data across a variety of heritage applications including: conservation planning, condition surveys, decay monitoring, heritage recording, architectural analysis, archaeological investigation, site display and presentation.
Historic England are amongst the first in the UK to order the new model, which benefits from an enhanced laser, greater accuracy and “all weather” environmental specifications whilst retaining the familiar small form factor and remote WiFi operation which makes it highly suitable across different scales of heritage based survey.”
