Midland Survey Limited, one of the UK’s largest independent surveyors, has invested in utility detection radars (DS2000) from Leica Geosystems. The company has purchased multiple devices to equip each of its utility mapping teams with the most advanced tools for locating buried assets.
The dual frequency antennae featured on the DS2000 gives the user better visibility of assets buried at different depths. This allows them to work more efficiently and report back more accurately. In addition, the device provides immediate data reports, enabling the operator to feed information straight into the client and project workflow and even contribute to on-the-spot decision making.
The radars were supplied to Midland Survey Ltd by authorised Leica Geosystems dealer, Opti-cal Survey Equipment who worked closely with Midland Survey Ltd specifiying and trialing the detection equipment. Opti-cal Survey Equipment will also offer ongoing after sales support to Midland Survey Ltd.
