In conjunction with Historic England and The National Trust, Opti-cal Survey Equipment are pleased to announce the Heritage Survey Day - an open day designed especially for the heritage and archaeology industry to discuss surveying historical sites.
The day will be held on October 3rd, 2019 at Fountains Abbey, a stunningly preserved Cistercian monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Ripon, Yorkshire.
The Heritage Survey Day is a chance for the industry to come together and learn about new technologies that can help to preserve heritage sites. With the latest equipment, heritage professionals can create detailed, accurate archivable records, monitor sites for condition analysis, create 3D models… There are myriad ways that surveying equipment can be used effectively.
The free to attend event will include packed schedule of lectures about the latest technology as well as a special lecture from Historic England, and will also include demonstrations of measured survey equipment, as well as a chance to speak to product experts from Historic England and Opti-cal Survey Equipment about how they work and the various applications of each instrument. Attendees will be able to receive tailored advice for their surveying needs.
The products that are due to be showcased will include 3D Laser Scanners, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Total Stations, Mobile Mapping equipment, Global Navigation Satellite Systems and Ground Penetrating Radar.
